Free Discovery Session

In Person, or On the Phone, We learn your needs and aims, and discuss the path forward!

1 hEast Jewett Boulevard

Service Description

We can talk over the phone, or spend time together in our downtown White Salmon treatment room. Home visits possible upon request and availability. During this intro meeting we do our best to understand the nature of your goals and/or concerns, and/or answer any questions you may have. Most of the time, you'll walk away with a tentative service plan and quote; although sometimes we end up needing more time to research and consider your care prior to getting back to you. During this intro session (if interested), there may be time to briefly experience one of our therapies. Whether during or after the session, once we share our service plan with you, it is common to take some time to consider whether you're ready for the next step. If it seems things could work well, then it's customary to schedule the initial appointment. During the intake we'll collect more in-depth information, and start the process of helping you as effectively as possible, through your therapies of choice. Following the intake, it's customary to hear back in a few days regarding an updated treatment plan. From there, we'll be able to take things one step at a time. * Throughout all stages of the therapeutic process, we will share our understanding of the situation, the rationale for our actions. We'll ask for your feedback and remain open to your preferences and ideas; encouraging them in fact; although we will also share our opinion and places we disagree. If you think we're wrong, we welcome your opinion and retort. Self-knowledge is always welcome, as well as open communication. Such communication in fact is the only way our work continues its forward momentum through the various stages. Clients often wonder how long it's typical to work with a practitioner. . . . Unfortunately, there's no single formula, as each person has a different range of needs, available time, energy, and finances; different conditions require different approaches as well. However, it is common in those seeking long-term change - to work with a practitioner regularly. In some cases for a few months, and others a year or more. Once a rhythm is established, and the progress is stable, it's common to reduce the number of visits to half time, quarter time, seasonal or as-needed. People work on specific life challenges at specific times, and our goal is to clarify those challenges so that it becomes easier to truly serve them in simple and sustaining ways.
